Never Judge Anyone..

Source: Found this from the net and thought of sharing....

The doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes & went directly to the surgery block...

He found the boy's father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor.
On seeing him, the dad yelled:

"Why did U take all this time to come? Don't U know that my son's life is in danger? Don't U have any sense of responsibility?"

The doctor smiled & said:
"I am sorry, I wasn't in the hospital & I came as fast as I could after receiving the call......
And now, I wish you'd calm down so that I can do my work"

"Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would U calm down? If your own son dies now what will U do??"
said the father angrily

The doctor smiled again & replied:"I will say what Job said in the Holy Book "From dust we came & to dust we return, blessed be the name of God". Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go & intercede for your son, we will do our best by God's grace"

"Giving advises when we're not concerned is so easy" Murmured the father.

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy,

"Thank goodness!, your son is saved!" And without waiting for the father's reply he carried on his way running. "If U have any question, ask the nurse!!"

"Why is he so arrogant? He couldn't wait some minutes so that I ask about my son's state" Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: "His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was in the burial when we called him for your son's surgery.

And now that he saved your son's life, he left running to finish his son's burial."

"Never Judge Anyone.....
Because U Never Know How Their Life Is & What They're Going Through!!!"

Sorrows keep you Human, Failures keep you Humble

This one I found too touching and thought of sharing...
One day I decided to quit... I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?" His answer surprised me...

"Look around", He said.. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?" "Yes", I replied.

When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed.

But I did not quit on the bamboo. In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.
And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said.

"In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. In the fourth year, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. "I would not quit.." He said. "Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.

Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant... But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.

It had spent the five years growing roots.

Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."

He said to me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots."

"I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you. " Don't compare yourself to others .." He said. " The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern ... Yet, they both make the forest beautiful."

Your time will come, " God said to me. " You will rise high! " How high should I rise?" I asked.

How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return. "As high as it can? " I questioned.

" Yes. " He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can. "

I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you. He will never give up on you. Never regret a day in your life.

Good days give you happiness
Bad days give you experiences;
Both are essential to life.

A happy and meaningful life requires our continuous input and creativity. It does not happen by chance. It happens because of our choices and actions. And each day we are given new opportunities to choose and act and, in doing so, we create our own unique journey." Keep going...

Happiness keeps you Sweet, Trials keep you Strong, Sorrows keep you Human, Failures keep you humble , Success keeps You Glowing, but Only God keeps You Going!

Parenting..

Parenting is one thing which can be done with the least knowledge as well as with utmost knowledge. It can be either be the most dreaded one or the most self satisfying one. So dynamic that one cant predict whats in store the next moment. Its an opportunity to unwind one's own karmas and an opportunity to untie the knots. Its wonderful to see that rights and wrongs changing according to the situations. What we thought of as right could take a U turn at the flip of a coin and become the most incorrect thing. Unless one go through the process, the experience of the roller-coaster ride can never be comprehended in words. Here are some of the great quotes on parenting.

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward not tarries with yesterday.

                                                                          -Khalil Gibran

You cannot make a plant grow in soil unsuited to it. A child teaches itself. But you can help it to go forward in its own way. What you can do is not of the positive nature, but of the negative. You can take away the obstacles, but knowledge comes out of its own nature. Loosen the soil a little, so that it may come out easily. Put a hedge round it; see that it is not killed by anything, and there your work stops. You cannot do anything else. The rest is a manifestation from within its own nature.
                                                         -Swami Vivekananda

Children should never be treated cruelly or harshly in the process of being educated. The whole essence of discipline is wrapped inside a small truth called love. If you really love your children and tell them not to something, they will rarely misbehave.
                                                           -Swami Rama

It is above all through example that education becomes effective. To speak good words and to give wise advice to a child has very little effect if one does not oneself give him an example of what one teaches. Sincerity, honesty, straightforwardness, courage, disinterestedness, unselfishness, patience, endurance, perseverance, peace, calm, self-control are all things that are taught infinitely better by example than by beautiful speeches.
                                                        -Sri Aurobindo

To consider the education of children is to prepare for future generations. The heart of the child is like a photographic plate without any impressions on it, ready to reflect all that it is exposed to. All the good qualities which help to fulfill the purpose of life are the natural inheritance that every soul brings to the earth; and almost all the bad traits that mankind shows in its nature are as a rule acquired after birth.
                                                      -Sufi Master Hazrat Inayat Khan

Song Unsung

The song that I came to sing remains unsung to this day.
I have spent my days in stringing and in unstringing my instrument.
The time has not come true, the words have not been rightly set;
only there is the agony of wishing in my heart.
The blossom has not opened; only the wind is sighing by.
I have not seen his face, nor have I listened to his voice;
only I have heard his gentle footsteps from the road before my house.
The livelong day has passed in spreading his seat on the floor;
but the lamp has not been lit and I cannot ask him into my house.
I live in the hope of meeting with him; but this meeting is not yet.

We are stupid; We dont know the value of anything.

We dont know the value of air we breathe
We are stupid; We pollute it
We dont the value of fresh water
We are stupid; We pollute it
We dont know the value of trees
We are stupid; We destroy our forests
We dont know the value of food
We are stupid; We waste food
We dont know the value of love
We are stupid; We assume lust for love
We dont know the value of knowledge
We are stupid; We give it to those who dont urge for it
We dont know the value of life
We are stupid;Alas! We are in a rat race.

Epicurus's Vision About Happiness

Epicurus was a great philosopher who lived in Greece during 341BC-270BC. Among his great works was about what makes us happy. He thinks that having money is not a solution to all our problems as most of us think. He explains that the key to happiness is fundamentally based on three things. They are having good friends to connect with, freedom and spending time on self assessment. He says that, the level of happiness doesn’t increase after accumulating more than a certain level of money.

If we have good friends to connect with having similar aspirations and attitude, we can collaborate with them and feel a sense of belongingness and can grow together. It gives a tremendous level of satisfaction when there are many things to be shared with.

Another aspect he talks about is freedom. Freedom according to him is connected with self sufficiency, financial independency, not answerable to horrible bosses. We should free ourselves from everyday life of politics. If we are self sufficient in life we are less bound on something and have a sense of freedom.

The third ingredient to have happiness as thought by Epicurus was an analyzed life by which he meant a life in which we take time off to reflect on our worries, to analyze what is troubling us. Our anxieties quickly diminish if we give ourselves time to think it through.

He says that the biggest challenge why we think that the materials around us can make us happy is advertisement. Advertisement can be enormously seductive. Most of the advertisement make us feel that there are whole lot of things we are missing from our lives.

Some of the quotes by Epicurus are
"Wealth beyond what is natural are no more useful than an overflowing container".
"Real value is generated not by theatres or perfumes or ointments but by philosophy".

An open letter to the people of the world

Dear human race,
First of all, you’re welcome. In the last few days I’ve been overwhelmed by your letters and calls expressing your gratitude to Apple, and mostly to me personally, for inventing yet another life-changing, mind-altering product. All I can tell you is that with iPad, as with all of our products, all we did was create something that we want to use. We’re just so glad that you want to use it too. It’s humbling, actually. When you devote your entire life to the endless, selfless quest to improve the lives of others; when you live a monk-like existence, and focus all of your power and genius on the singular goal of creating objects that nourish souls and transform people’s lives with magic and wonder; and when people tell you that this is, indeed, what you’ve done — well, it’s gratifying. Namaste, entire population of Spaceship Earth. I honor the place where your desire to consume becomes one with my desire to create.
Some pundits have posed the question: Why do anyone need this thing? Indeed, even those of you are lining up and standing outside stores may be wondering, Why am I doing this? Why am I lining up like a zombie for an expensive piece of consumer electronics, a product for which there is no shortage and which, let’s face it, nobody really needs? Back in the early days of our design process, Jonny Ive came in to see me and we spent a long time trying to decide where on Mazlow’s triangle this product would sit. Because we knew if we couldn’t be way up above the very top of that pyramid, floating above it, totally outside the needs it describes, then this wouldn’t be a product we wanted to make. Some of our early iterations, in fact, had to be tossed out because when we looked at them we realized that parts of them were too, well, necessary. Don’t get me wrong. That’s fine for other companies. It’s just not what we do here at Apple.
But let’s get back to you people who are waiting in line. I mean it’s not like you’re in Bolivia and there’s just been an earthquake and you need to line up to get food and clean water. It’s not like you’ve time-traveled back into the Depression and you’re waiting in line at a soup kitchen. And yet, in fact, that’s exactly what you’re doing. Spiritually speaking, we are living in the Great Depression, and you are waiting in line for sustenance. We, all of us, are experiencing the world that Deleuze and Guattari described so presciently in Capitalism and Schizophrenia. If you haven’t read this incredibly important two-volume work, I highly recommend that wait for us to make both volumes available on our iBooks store and then order them right away. The cool thing is that then, as you’re reading, you will have the strange and circular experience of discovering why you bought the iPad in the first place.
The truth is, this is all about spiritual emptiness. That is why you’re standing in line. Except for Scoble, who is an attention whore and just doing it to get attention.
The truth is, all over the world, across every culture, there exists a sense of yearning. A kind of malaise. An emptiness. At the risk of sounding like Dr. Seuss: There is a hole in your soul. That is what we’re addressing at Apple. That is the hole we aim to fill. Sadly, as you may have begun to suspect, that hole can never really be filled. The truth is that modernity, the condition of living in our modern world, has inflicted terrible wounds on your inner self. These wounds can never be healed. They can only be treated. At best we provide palliative care. Not a cure. Because, my dear fellow human beings, there is no cure for what ails you. The products we create provide only temporary relief. Their magic eventually wears off. The sense of childlike wonder they impart will, over time, begin to fade. And then you need a new product. Think back to June 29, 2007. Do you remember the rapture? The wonder of iPhone? The magic? Now that is gone, but here we come with another shot of digital Dilaudid. Sleep well, my friends. Sleep deeply and rest, cradled in the arms of my electronic medicine.
I’d also like to take a moment to thank all of the engineers and designers and programmers inside Apple who worked so tirelessly on this product, toiling way in total secrecy. I know it wasn’t easy. You had to work on a machine that was inside a sealed metal box, so you couldn’t actually see what you were doing. The box itself was chained to a desk, which was bolted to the floor in a windowless, lead-sealed concrete bunker. And you were chained to that same desk by your ankle. I know some of you considered it humiliating. I know many of you did not enjoy having to use a chamber pot instead of being allowed to leave the room for bathroom breaks. To be sure, the chamber pot was designed by Jonny Ive and is a model of simplicity and elegant design. Nevertheless, not a lot of fun. I know some of you grumbled, privately, about having your personal email read, and your phone calls monitored. You did not appreciate having your children followed to school and interrogated to see if Mom or Dad had been talking about work. The cars parked outside your house at night, the strange calls to your neighbors and relatives, the questionnaires about your sexual history, the lists of all your past lovers that you needed to provide — I know. It’s not easy to work at Apple. But I think you’ll agree with me that it’s worth the trouble. I honor your dedication, and I hope you will all enjoy the new wonder device that you have helped bring into the world.
Hold your iPad. Gaze at it. Pray to it. Let it transform you. And do it soon, because before you know it we are going to release version 2, which will make this one look like a total piece of crap. Peace be upon you.

Transformation

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma–which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
– Apple CEO Steve Jobs

Smile curve

In some of my recent meditation sessions, I had an interesting observation. The initial part of the meditation process is always relaxation. When I relax my facial muscles, I observed that, a slight
smile automatically sprouting. My observation is that, when facial muscles settles down in the relaxed state, it automatically settles in a with slight smile.I didn't conciously create the smile; but it comes, thats the way the face will be when we are relaxed and meditative. This smile I have seen in the face of great gurus. When realized it for the first time, it was like a revelation..

Being in the eye of storm

I'am inside a terrific storm..
I can feel it in each of my cells..
I can feel it in the world around us..
I'am in search of a safe place to dwell..
But not able to find a place so safe..
I ran around in search of it..
Many of us fell down not able to tolerate the thunder..
I too knocked a lot of doors..
But all were in vein..
At last I thought to sit in silence..
And look deep inside my self..
Oh God, I saw the glimpses of it..
Even the glimpses are so enchanting..
Let me tell you where it is..
For those of who are in search of it..
Its in the eye of the storm..

Paddy Fields becoming tourist place for Keralites

I just realized that the paddy fields, which were once part of our life has become a curious place of visit for us. I have heard people saying that many of our culture, land and tradtion will soon become tourist places for ourselves, but when I realized it in my own life, it was a nostalgic pain. The big question, where are we heading to, started pondering me.Is it just a part of whole drama of change where we dont have much role or is it a projection of a small mistake in our perception? I think it is the second. A small drift in the orientation of our vision, because we didnt take the consequence seriously has taken us to this place. We never cared for the delicate and selfless balances nature has maintained for our growth. We were only bothered about our sense gratifications and finally we are here. Shortly our butts are going to burn.Atlease now if we decide to take a right hand turn..I keep the hope and let the life unfurl itself..

Introversion
Introversion is the meeting point between beauty and plainness. It is when on the outside there is only love and warmth, the qualities of any decent human life, but on the inside there is wisdom and perception. It is when on the outside, there are relationships with a few, and on the inside there is enough to fuel a relationship with the world;on the outside there is concern for the present and on the inside there is awareness of the future.Introversion is the door which divides the two;not exclusively, because a door will always open, but protectively because it is night and there are thieves about.

What is night? Night is when no one really knows what they want or what they are doing. Night is when people question things, so the door has to be locked because when people don't know what they want, they steal anything. The treasures of mind developing in silence are always at risk. So there has to be enforced caution.

Introversion should also be exercised  after a party where there has been a sharing of valuables. Here, it has gently to close the door to even the closest friends and then invite in solitude. It is the caution which checks carefully whom it invites in, in the first place, not out of fear but out of love for what has been given in trust to take care of. And yet introversion is not silence anymore than real solitude is.

It is participation, but not only participation. It is speaking with peace, walking with humility, working with love. When action is accompanied by a depth of quality, this is a sign of introversion. It is when instead of staying within you choose to venture through the door, taking something of value to all, with you.

It wont always be night. A time will come when morning will arrive. What happens then? The curtains are drawn and what's inside is visible through the windows. The eyes reflect clearly the life of the mind. Still it can't be touched, but it can be seen and enjoyed.

And when day comes, windows and doors are flung open. The mind is open, accessible and the sunlight makes equal what's inside with what's outside. That will be a time where privacy and individuality , protection and caution will have passed. A unique period of sharing, when minds will be so light that they can pass through each other unhurt and a time when the virtue that introversion has protected will be poured into a common source of joy. It will be heaven
